1. Plug the supplied AC adapter into the rear jack (F) on the HS-BLU277.
The red LED will flash to indicate that the Battery is charging. The red
LED will go steady when the battery is fully charged (3.9v) and ready
for use, but will be charged to maximum capacity (4.2v) when left on
the charger for a few hours after the red LED goes steady. The charg-
er can also be left plugged into the unit for extended periods of time,
without overcharging the battery, it will simply maintain the charge to
maximum.
2. Turn on the HS-BLU277 with the on/off intercom volume control (D).
(NOTE: If you wish to use your HS-BLU277 unit as a wired driver/pas-
senger intercom amplifier only, it is not necessary to also turn on the
Bluetooth portion of this unit.)
3. To activate the Bluetooth portion of this unit, with the on/off control
(D) rotated to the ON position, press and hold the multifunction button
for about 6 to 13 seconds, or until you see the first BLUE flash, at
which time the Bluetooth is on.
4. To adjust the Bluetooth volume when linked to a Bluetooth device,
press the Bluetooth volume up/down buttons (B&C) to step up and
down thru the volume range.
5. To put the unit into pairing mode, turn unit on as per step 1, then
hold down on the multifunction button (A) continuously for about 13
seconds, or until the blue light begins a rapid flash, at which point the
HS-BLU277 is now in pairing mode.
6. To CLEAR all previously linked devices from the memory, turn unit on
as per step 1, then hold down on the multifunction button (A) continu-
ously for about 35 seconds, cycling thru the slow flashing blue, to
rapid flashing blue, to flashing red & back to rapid blue flashing, at
which point the HS-BLU277 is now cleared and in pairing mode.

8. Operation Instructions
Pairing and Operation with a Bluetooth Enabled MP3 Player
(ITouch) or Stereo Dongle.
1. Power-on the MP3 player or stereo dongle & put it into pairing mode.
Turn on the HS-BLU277 and put it into a pairing mode. (If the HS-
BLU277 has been previously linked to other Bluetooth devices, you
may need to CLEAR the HS-BLU277 first, before linking to a new
device). Both the MP3 player or stereo dongle and the HS-BLU277
LED's will be flashing rapidly until the two unit's pair and the LED's
flash at a slower rate.
2. To set the music volume, adjust the volume of the HS-BLU277 to max-
imum using the volume up (B) button first. Then adjust the MP3 or
music source volume that is feeding the dongle to a volume level in
the headset that is just before distortion. Then adjust the volume of
the HS-BLU277 to a comfortable listening level.
3. If you wish to pause/play the music while riding, briefly depress the
multifunction button (A).
Pairing and Operation with a Basic Bluetooth enabled Cell
Phone.
1. Turn on the HS-BLU277 and put it into pairing mode. Select the
hands-free menu on the cell phone, go into the Bluetooth section and
search for devices. When JM_CORP_HHS is displayed on your screen
and you are asked for a passkey, enter: 0000. Your cell phone should
now be paired with the HS-BLU277.
2. When receiving an incoming call, the incoming call indicator "alert-
tone" will be heard in the headset speakers. If the cell phone is set
to auto-answer mode, the call will automatically be connected to the
HS-BLU277, if the phone is not set to auto-answer the multifunction
button (A) can be depressed briefly to connect the call.
3. Use the volume Up (B) or Down (C) buttons to adjust the phone vol-
ume during the cell phone conversation. Additional cell phone volume
adjustments can also be made on the cell phone itself, but during
actual conversation only.
4. To terminate the phone call from the HS-BLU277, depress the multi-
function button (A) briefly or wait until the party that you were speak-
ing with hangs up.
5. To utilize "voice command" dialing, (the cell phone must support this
feature), press the multifunction button (A) once and listen for the
voice/tone prompt from the cell phone. To redial the last number
called, briefly press the multifunction button (A) twice.
Pairing and Operation with a Bluetooth Enabled Cell Phone
and a Bluetooth Enabled MP3 Player or Stereo Dongle.
1. Power-on the MP3 player or stereo dongle & put it into pairing mode.
Turn on the HS-BLU277 and put it into a pairing mode. (If the HS-
BLU277 has been previously linked to other Bluetooth devices, you
may need to CLEAR the HS-BLU277 first, before linking to a new
device). Both the MP3 player or stereo dongle and the HS-BLU277
LED's will be flashing rapidly until the two unit's pair and the LED's
flash at a slower rate.
2. Turn off the HS-BLU277 and MP3 Player or stereo dongle, then turn
the HS-BLU277 back on and put back into pairing mode (rapid blue
flashing). Select the hands-free menu on the cell phone, go into the
Bluetooth section and search for devices. When JM_CORP_HHS is dis-
played on your screen and you are asked for a passkey, enter: 0000.
Your cell phone should now be paired with the HS-BLU277.
3. Turn the MP3 Player or music dongle back on and allow it to recon-
nect to the HS-BLU277.
4. To set the music volume, adjust the volume of the HS-BLU277 to max-
imum using the volume up (B) button first. Then adjust the MP3 or
music source volume that is feeding the dongle to a volume level in
the headset that is just before distortion. Then adjust the volume of
the HS-BLU277 to a comfortable listening level.
