DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Never carry riders on the implement or tractor. Riders canÂ
obstruct the operatorâs view, interfere with control of theÂ
equipment, be pinched by moving components, becomeÂ
entangled in rotating components, be struck by objects, beÂ
thrown or fall from the equipment, etc.
â¢
Always disengage power take-off immediately after liftingÂ
tiller above ground level. Never operate tiller in the raisedÂ
position. The tiller can discharge objects at high speedsÂ
resulting in injury or death.
â¢
Do not engage power take-off while hooking-up orÂ
unhooking the driveline, or while someone is standing nearÂ
the driveline. A personâs body and/or clothing can becomeÂ
â¢
Do not operate a broken or bent driveline. Such a drivelineÂ
will break apart while rotating at high speeds and can causeÂ
serious injury or death. Always remove implement fromÂ
service until the damaged driveline can be repaired orÂ
â¢
Do not till across steep inclines that are subject to rollover.Â
The action of the tines being forced down into the groundÂ
can cause the tractor to roll-over resulting in serious injuryÂ
or death. Consult your tractorâs manual for acceptableÂ
inclines the tractor is capable of traveling across.
â¢
Keep away from rotating hex drive shaft located betweenÂ
gearbox and drive end of tiller. A person can becomeÂ
â¢
Keep front rubber dirt deflector on reverse tine tillers inÂ
place while operating the unit. Objects in a reverse tineÂ
tiller can be thrown forward toward the operator.
â¢
Keep yourself and all others away from rotating tines andÂ
drive train. Always disengage power take-off and lockoutÂ
power source before making adjustments or servicing theÂ
tiller. A personâs body, hair, or clothing can becomeÂ
entangled in rotating components causing serious bodilyÂ
â¢
Make all 3-point hydraulic adjustments from the tractorÂ
seat. Never make hydraulic adjustments while standingÂ
â¢
Never make contact with underground utilities such asÂ
electrical power lines, gas lines, phone lines, etc. They canÂ
cause serious injury or death from electrocution, explosion,Â
or fire. If in doubt, call 811 (USA) before digging so thatÂ
they can mark the location of underground services in theÂ
area. For contact information, see Dig Safe in theÂ
âImportant Safety Informationâ starting on page 1.
â¢
Tractor power take-off shaft shield, driveline shields, andÂ
gearbox shaft shields must be installed and in good workingÂ
condition to avoid injury or death from drivelineÂ
entanglement and projectiles flying off of the driveline.
