Magnum P300 Maintenance Manual - page 4
To remove the baffle:
The baffle is held up by ledges at both sides of the firebox. Lift the baffle and move to one
side so the other side can drop past the ledge and then rotate the baffle down and out the
firebox door.
To replace the baffle:
Reverse the procedure above for removing the baffle. Ensure the baffle is centered on the
side ledges, and the ceramic side is down.
To replace the air tube:
In the event that it has been necessary to cut off the head of the retaining screw when
removing the old airtube, the stub of the old screw must be drilled or punched out to
enable a new screw to be used.
Place the right hand (plain) end of the airtube into the hole on the right side of the firebox
and then rotate the tube up and place the left end into the hole on the left side. Align the
plate with the screw hole and refit the locating screw.
To replace the rear baffle:
Place the baffle in through the door, with the front side facing you and place the top edge
up behind the retaining plate at the top, then rotate the bottom edge down locating it
behind the lugs on the floor. (The top front of the baffle is marked.)
To replace the side bricks:
Place the side brick into position with the diagonal cutout at top front, and with the rear
edge behind the retainer cast in the rear wall, then drop the lower edge behind the
retainers on the floor. Replace the clamping plate and screw in the bottom front corner.
