the Help menu.
Working with ABPM-04
ABPM-04 is a computer-based ambulatory blood pressure monitoring system. Before you begin, you
must have the CardioVisions program installed on your computer and the device correctly connected.
To activate its functions, ABPM-04 has to be programmed from the computer. Then it gathers data for
24 hours to be transferred for evaluation to the CardioVisions program.
A successful monitoring session consists of the following steps:
1. Insert batteries in the battery compartment of ABPM-04 and check the voltage
2. Start the CardioVisions program
3. Add a new patient to the database or select an existing patient
4. Create a monitoring plan (called a schedule) containing blood pressure measurements
5. Connect ABPM-04 to the computer
6. Download the monitoring plan from the computer to the ABPM-04 recorder
7. Apply cuff to patient
8. Give instructions to the patient who wears ABPM-04 (typically for 24 hours)
