IMPORTANT: Bread may burn
Consequently, always keeps an eye on the toaster and do not put the toaster close
to or underneath curtains, kitchen cupboards and other combustible material.
Be aware that the wires of the heating stretch individually when the toaster is switched on
and that the red colouring will look differently. This is quite normal and has no effect on the
result of the toasting.
The following functions can be chosen:
The toaster has various functions and the panel is at the right side of the toaster. The options
are the following:
Stop
By pressing the stop button (4) the toasting can be stopped at any time.
Defrosting
Only use frozen bread that is made for toasting. Put the frozen bread in the toaster.
At the lower step, the bread will only be defrosted, but at a higher step the bread will
also be toasted. The toaster is now set at defrosting and the toasting cycle will be set
automatically. For this function, press the Defrost button (7) right after the appliance has
been switched on.
Heating
If you want to reheat already toasted bread, you should use this function. Put the bread
in the slots and press the ON/OFF button (3) and then the heating button (6). The bread
is now reheated without further toasting.
Be careful: The surface of the toaster gets very hot during use!
Bun toaster
The toaster is equipped with a removable bun toaster. The bun toaster should be used if you
want to heat/toast buns or mini-loaves. Please note that the bread must not have a size that
covers the entire surface of the toaster, as this will prevent the heat from escaping.
The bun toaster is used by pressing the lever (8) at the left side of the toaster. Place the
buns etc. on top of the toaster. Put the thermostatic lever (5) at the toasting cycle you want
and press the
ON/OFF lever (3) at the right side of the toaster. The toaster switches off
automatically, when the chosen cycle has elapsed.
If a piece of bread gets stuck during toasting, pull out the plug and let the toaster cool off.
Another possibility is to turn upside-down the toaster and shake it carefully in order to let go
of the bread. If this fails, try to manoeuvre the bread – but
never use metallic items and be
careful not to touch the heating element as this may be damaged, in which case the warranty
does not cover the damage.
Do not use too big slices of bread, as these may get stuck in the toaster, and do not put too
big pieces of bread on the toaster, as this may prevent the heat from escaping.
