Caution:
Do not plug the USB cable directly into the iMac keyboard.
The USB port on the keyboard does not supply its own pow-
er, so the combined current drain of the printer and the
keyboard might exceed USB specifications.
4.
Turn on the printer (and the USB hub, if con-
nected), and then turn on the iMac computer.
5.
Insert the OKI DP-5000 installation disc into
your CD-ROM drive. Open the
English
folder,
and then double-click on the
Install OKI DP-
5000
icon.
6.
Follow the instructions on-screen to complete the
installation.
Using the OKI USB printer with iMac
Make sure that the USB interface cable is properly con-
nected and your printer is turned on.
1.
Select
Chooser
from the menu and click the
DP-
5000
icon.
2.
Go to
Select a USB printer
and select printer
required.
Note:
When more than one OKI printer is connected to
the USB port, each printer will be assigned a
separate USB port number (USB #1, USB #2,
etc).
Now you are ready for printing. Refer to Appendix A in
your User's Guide on the OKI Installation Disc for
printer driver settings and further information on the
USB Interface Kit.
