10 FAQ - Printer maintenance and print issues
10.1 Glass cleaning
● Glass
cleaning
is the most frequent
printer
maintenance. If the glass is dirty or there
is an asymmetrical glue layer, it is recommended to soak the glass in lukewarm water
and leave it for a few minutes. The glass can be then easily cleaned.
10.2 Clogged / jammed extruder
● Material clogged in extruder can cause problems with the
printing
or with the
loading
of a new
filament
.
● Heat the nozzle, remove the filament from the extruder and cut the rod cca 10 cm
above the damaged part.
● Next step is a cleaning of an extruder. There is a service hole on the left side of an
extruder where you can access the hobbed pulley (pict. 16).
● Clean the hobbed pulley then heat the
nozzle
and
load
filament
.
● If a problem persists you have to clean the
nozzle
.
