Qvis POESWITCH-4 Installation Manual - page 6
Please make sure the PDs you have connected to the switch are
compliant with IEEE802.3at.
If the power consumption of all of the PoE PDs are more than
the maximum power the switch can provide, then this
‘Priority’ function will cut off power to the lowest priority port
to protect the system.
e.g. for a 4 port PoE switch: ports 1, 2 & 4 are using 16W
(Max power of each port is 30W), the power consumption
from the system is 48W in total. If there is an additional PD
inserted in to Port 3 and it requires 13W of power, then the
system will cut off the power to Ports 3 & 4. This is because
the switch cannot provide any more power to a further PD
device if one was to be connected.
All non PoE ports are classed as Ethernet Rj45 ports. All
ports support Auto MDIMDIX - plug and play. You can also
estimate the working status of each port via the front panel
LED.
