Radient Duplex Duplex RDNA0397 Owner's manual - page 14
The screen shows the nominal voltage of a Lithium
battery. The Duplex is capable of charging: LiFe (3.3V),
LiIo (3.6V) and LiPo (3.7V). This information is of critical
importance, so you must check the battery carefully to
ensure that it is set up correctly. If it is different from
correct value, a fire or explosion can occur during the
charge process.
To avoid damage from incorrect settings being input, the
Duplex automatically detects the cell count of Lithium
batteries at the beginning of the charge or discharge
process.
However, a battery that has been deep-discharged may
not be detected correctly. To avoid this error, the time
allowed for the processor to verify the cell count can be
adjusted. Normally,15 seconds is enough to detect the
cell count correctly but you may need to extend the time
limit for large capacity batteries. The default value is
recommended to use first. Only adjust this if the cell
count is not detected correctly.
The screen shows the сut-off temperature of a Lithium
battery. You can press ‘Decrease’ or ‘Increase’ to adjust
the сut-off temperature (The temperature range is:
20~80°C). The maximum temperature of the battery can
be set during the charge process. The process will be
terminated automatically to protect the battery if the
battery’s temperature reaches this value. This feature is
only available when using a temperature probe (option
part - not included).

The battery becomes warm after completing the
charge/discharge process. A time delay can be set
between each process to allow the battery. The valid
value ranges from 1 to 60 minutes.
Storage program for Lithium batteries
The charge current reduces to 1/5 as the charge
process reaches the end and has 1/10 remaining. The
charge capacity will reduce to that of normal charging,
but charging time will be shortened accordingly.
You can set the battery’s charging current and voltage.
Press the ‘Start/Enter’ button to display the confirmation
of the set voltage. Press the ‘Start/Enter’ button again to
confirm and begin the charge.
This screen shows the real-time fast-charge status.
Press the ‘Battery Type/Stop’ button once to stop the
charge process.
This function is used for charging/discharging batteries which are not going to be used
for a period of time. This program is designed to charge of discharge Lithium batteries
to their original state of charge. The charge voltage is classified by type: 3.75V LiIo,
3.85V LiPo, 3.85V LiHV and 3.3V LiFe.The program will begin a discharge cycle if the
cell voltage exceeds the original state of charge.
Discharging Lithium batteries
In this screen you can set-up the battery pack’s
required current and voltage. The Duplex will either
charge or discharge the battery to bring the voltage to
the desired storage state.
This screen shows the real-time charge status. Press
the ‘Battery Type/Stop’ key once to stop the charge
process.
The discharge current on the left should not exceed 1C.
To avoid deep discharging, the value on the right must not
be below the manufacturer’s recommendations. Press the
‘Start/Enter’ button for more than 3 seconds to start.
This shows the real-time status of the discharge cycle.
You can press the ‘Battery Type/Stop’ button to stop
discharging.
