RF Emissions Information
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements
adopted by the ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that
contains, among other information, a product identifier in the format US:
AAA Q##TXXXX. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone
company. Upon request, you must provide the FCC registration number
(DYFT 11BCV100) and the R N to your telephone company. The R N is used
to determine the number of devices that may be connected to a telephone
line. xcessive R Ns on a telephone line may result in the devices not ringing
in response to an incoming call. In most but not all areas, the sum of R Ns
should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that
may be connected to a line, as determined by the total R Ns, contact the
local telephone company. For products approved after July 23, 2001, the
R N for this product is part of the product identifier that has the format US:
AAA Q##TXXXX. The digits represented by ## are the R N without a decimal
point (e.g., 03 is a R N of 0.3). For earlier products, the R N is separately shown
on the label. Both numbers are on the bottom of the phone. A plug and jack
used to connect this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone network
must comply with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted
by the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with
this product. It is designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack that
is also compliant. See installation instructions for details.
Notes: You must not connect your telephone to:
1) coin-operated systems
2) party-line systems
3) most electronic key telephone systems
We have designed your phone to conform to federal regulations, and you can
connect it to most telephone lines. However, each phone (and each device,
such as a telephone or answering machine) that you connect to the telephone
line draws power from the telephone line. We refer to this power draw as the
device’s ringer equivalence number, or R N on the back of your phone. If you
use more than one phone or other device on the line, add up all of the R Ns. If
the total is more than five (three in rural areas), your telephones might not ring.
If ringer operation is impaired, remove a device from the line. In the unlikely
event that your phone causes problems on the phone line, the phone company
can temporarily discontinue your service. If this happens, the phone company
attempts to notify you in advance. If advance notice is not practical, the phone
company notifies you as soon as possible and advises you of your right to file
