2.1 About the Heater
The CGTH-Series is a factory-assem

led, gas-fired,
lo
w
-intensity heating system that incorporates a

al-
anced fl

e. The system has

een designed for easy
installation and can pro
v
ide years of economical
operation and tro
ub
le-free ser
v
ice. Not only is infra-
red heat efficient, it also pro
v
ides the most comfort-
a
b
le conditions in open areas, s
u
ch as garages.
Gas-Fired
means it
u
ses clean-
bu
rning nat
u
ral or LP
gas.
Low-Intensity
means that the radiant s
u
rface of the
t
ub
e does not glo
w
red. Instead, it operates at a
lo
w
er temperat
u
re, less than 1000° F (538° C) and
radiates energy at a lo
w
er intensity per sq
u
are foot of
radiating s
u
rface. The lo
w
er temperat
u
re and inten-
sity le
v
els are
w
ithin a range that is effecti
v
e in esta
b
-
lishing and maintaining personal comfort le
v
els. An

m reflector directs the radiant energy do

ard to the occ

pied area.
Balanced Flue
means that the

Radiant
refers to the energy radiated

y the CGTH-
Series heater. Beca

se the energy is in the form of
infrared rays, it does not directly heat the air. Instead,
the rays heat o

ch as the floor, cars, machines
and people. The

rn, heat the air.

from the carton. Both ends of the heater sho

lifted from the carton at the same time. The

sing the hanger.
2.2.2 Safety
