GReen led UndeR “PoWeR” iS oFF).
•ThereisnoACinputvoltageintheoutlet:CheckthatACpowerisavailableintheACoutlet
receptacleandthatitisswitchedON.
•TheACinputsidefuseisblowndueto:
- High input voltage:Checkthattheinputvoltageis120VACnominal(normalrangeis108to
132VAC).
- High voltage transients / surges in the AC input line:EnsurethattheACinputvoltageisclean
anddoesnothavehighvoltagetransients/surges.Inputvoltagesurges/transients>170VAC
willblowtheACsidefuse.UseasuitableAClineconditioner/surgesuppressor,ifnecessary.
- The unit has become defective:Iffuseisnotblowingduetotheabovetwocauses,theunit
hasbecomedefective.CallTechnicalSupportofassistance.

•
The DC side output fuse is blown: The DC side fuse will blow if the battery is connected in wrong
polarity.EnsurethatthePositivebatterypostisconnectedtothePositiveconnectorofthecharger
(eitherBank1orBank2)andtheNegativebatterypostisconnectedtotheNegativeconnector
(common)ofthecharger.Replacethefusewithafuseofthespecifiedrating.
• The battery / DC load is shorted: Checkandremovetheshortcircuit.Thechargerwilllatchinthe
offconditionifitwasshutdownduetoshortcircuitandwillNOTresetautomatically.Tore-set,
switchofftheACpowerinputON/OFFswitchandswitchonagain.
•Shut down due to high temperature:Checkthatthecoolingfanisworking,theairventsarenot
cloggedandtheambienttemperatureisnotveryhigh.Thechargerwillbelatchedinthisshut
downconditionandwillNOTresetautomaticallyevenaftertheunithascooleddown.Toreset,
theACinputpowerON/OFFswitchhastobeswitchedoffandonagain.
•AC input has been set to 230 VAC and is being operated at 120 VAC:Checkthepositionofthein-
ternaljumperforsetting120VAC/230VACoperation.For120VACoperation,thejumpershould
beconnectedandshouldbeshortingpoints“C”and“D”onthePCB
WHen tHe cHARGeR iS PoWeRed And iS BeinG USed AS A dc PoWeR SUPPly / UPS,
tHe oUtPUt VoltAGe dRoPS WHen tHe dc loAd iS SWitcHed on oR incReASed.
The charger is being forced into current limit condition. The load is trying to draw current more
thanthecurrentlimitvalueofthecharger-50AforNormaloperation&25A+/-1Afor“HalfPower
Mode”forSEC-1250ULand25AforNormaloperation&12.5A+/-1Afor“HalfPowerMode”for
SEC-2425UL(thecurrentlimitvalueisthemaximumspecifiedchargingAmps).Oncetheloadcurrent
reachesthecurrentlimitvalue,thecurrentlimitcircuitisactivatedandtheoutputvoltagedrops.
