WINTER STORAGE
In winter, with temperatures below 0 °C, we recommend storing the ROMA SENSOR in
a frost-free place and reinstalling it in spring.
ERROR CORRECTION
If, in spite of following all instructions, the ROMA SENSOR does not work at any time,
proceed as follows:
• Turn the selector switch several times to the positions „0“ and „1“.
• It is possible that, although the solar station of the ROMA SENSOR is switched on, it
is covered by another light source. If this is the case, move the ROMA SENSOR.
• Make sure that the ROMA SENSOR is not standing in the shade during the day.
REMOVING/REPLACING RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
WARNING ! When removing/replacing the rechargeable battery, the selector switch
must be in position „0“.
Use only original WAGNER rechargeable batteries.
Avoid short-circuiting the rechargeable battery wires. When replacing spare parts
or rechargeable batteries, be careful of sharp edges which can cause injury or
which can damage the cables. Do not pull on the cables of the solar module.
• Loosen the four cross-headed screws on the back.
• Place the covering frame with solar panel carefully to one side, as far away as this is
permitted by the length of cable.
• Carefully remove the plus and minus poles from the rechargeable battery.
• Reconnect the plus pole (red wire) and minus pole (black wire) with correct polarity to
the new rechargeable battery.
Note:
Observe plug size. Different sized plugs prevent wrong polarity of the
connections to the rechargeable battery.
REPLACING XENON LAMP
– Separate the upper section of the lamp from the lamp cover. In doing so, ensure that
the connection lead is not damaged.
– Remove the XENON lamp from its mounting by pressing downwards and
simultaneously turning it to the right.
– Replace the XENON lamp (see replacement parts) and rebuild the Roma Sensor in
the reverse order.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The device and its accessories should be recycled in an environmentally-
friendly manner.
Do not dispose of the rechargeable battery in your household rubbish. Support envi-
ronmental protection efforts and dispose of your rechargeable battery at a local waste
management facility or consult your specialised dealer.
CHARGING UNIT / EXTRA ACCESSORIES
In order to charge the ROMA SENSOR over a longer "period of bad weather", we
recommend the
Wagner
mains charging unit. With this the ROMA SENSOR can be
charged directly from the mains electricity supply or an external solar module Charging
duration approx. 8 – 12 hours. Make sure that the operating switch is set to „
0
“. The
lamp unit’s connection socket is used for charging.
