WAGNER ROMAXENON Manual - Efficiency

EFFICIENCY
The efficiency of the ROMA SENSOR depends on the time of year. The ROMA
SENSOR is operational at night for a longer period in summer than in winter. The
frequency with which the ROMA SENSOR may be operated at night depends upon
how long the solar panel recieved direct sunlight during the day. In cloudy conditions,
for example, the solar energy is not sufficient to charge the battery completely. On the
following night, the light duration of the ROMA SENSOR is therefore shorter.
Note: Clean the solar module of the ROMA SENSOR regularly with a damp cloth
in order to ensure maximum efficiency of the solar energy collector. Do not use
any solvents for cleaning. Do not exert any pressure on the solar module during
cleaning.
ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the ROMA SENSOR and accessories carefully from the box.
CAUTION! Do not exert pressure on the solar panel, as this may cause damage
to the solar module!
WARNING! When digging and drilling holes, make sure that you do not come
into contact with hidden cables. Contact with hidden cables can result in serious
injury or even death!
2. Drive the earth spike into the ground by hand.
3. Push the extension tubes and the lamp shade one after the other onto the earth
spike
.
4. Mount the lamp unit with the sensor in the tube section on the upper extension tube
.
OPERATION
1. Putting into operation / first charging:
• First operate the lamp for two days with direct irradiation in order to charge the
accumulator. The selector switch must be set to „
0
“.
2. Normal operation:
Setting 0: Lamp OFF
Mid-setting : Pure sensor function: Light interval max. 50 x 45 sec.
Setting 1: Marker/Sensor function: 2 orange LEDs for constant Marker mode up to
12 hours and additional when there is a movement automatic sensor
activation. Light interval max. 40 x 45 sec.
NOTE: The ROMA SENSOR is equipped with a twilight sensor. This means that
the solar function automatically switches itself on at twilight and off in daylight.
Make sure that no external sources of light are shining on the solar station at
night, as in this case the twilight sensor will not be activated.
3. Switch to „0“:
• When charging the rechargeable battery with the
Wagner
mains charging unit (extra
accessory), during transport or when not using the ROMA SENSOR for long periods
(storage), turn the selector switch to „
0
“. The ROMA SENSOR is then no longer
operational.
NOTE: In order to conserve the rechargeable battery and achieve longer light
duration of the ROMA SENSOR, especially in autumn and winter, we recommend
recharging the rechargeable battery from time to time. Set the selector switch of
the ROMA SENSOR for the charging time of the rechargeable battery to the
position “0” for approx. 2 days
.
