Control Unit Thermo 90
NOTE:
Control units for the 12-volt variant are provided with red la-
belling, those for the 24-volt variant with green labelling.
The control unit should be installed in a protected location,
preferably in the driver’s cab.
In the installation position as shown in Fig. 14 the control
unit has the degree of protection IP 54 and in any other in-
stallation position the degree of protection is IP 50.
(only required for degree of protection IP 54 DIN 40050)

In the installation position as shown in Fig. 15 the control
unit conforms to IP6K4K type of enclosure.

On the standard cable harness B6 is open.
NOTE:
The selected control idle period temperature of the heater
should lie below the opening temperature of the radiator
thermostat!

If the signal “Motor on”/"Motor off" (terminal D+) is con-
nected to the control unit X12 / 7, different control thre-
shold values will take effect.

If the signal of terminal D+ is not connected, the tempera-
tures correspond to those of “Motor off”.
NOTE:
The temperature selected for the control idle period of the
heater should be lower than the opening temperature of
the radiator thermostat.
