Avoid kickback

   DANGER

KICKBACK may occur when the nose or tip

of the guide bar touches an object, or when

the material being cut closes in and pinches

the saw chain in the cut.

Tip contact in some cases may cause a

lightning-fast reverse REACTION, kicking the

guide bar up and back towards the operator.

Pinching the saw chain along the top of the

guide bar may push the guide bar rapidly

back towards the operator. Either of these

reactions could result in serious personal

injury by causing you to lose control of the

system. Do not rely exclusively upon the

safety devices built into your saw. As a chain

saw user, you should take several steps to

keep your cutting jobs free from accident or

injury.

SAFETY

Keep a safe distance from co-

workers

Make sure there is another person nearby when

operating the system, but also make sure they are

at a safe distance.

Clear work area

Make sure that hazardous debris such as glass or

wire is cleared from the area to be ventilated.

Operate safely

AVOID operating the system when you are fatigued.

ALWAYS remains alert when operating the system

to avoid possible injury to yourself and others.

DO NOT operate the system while under the

influence of alcohol or drugs.
