After each use, turn your device off and always unplug it from the mains supply socket.
STEAM IRONING
Follow the procedure for setting the temperature, making sure that there is enough water in your water tank. For
best results when steaming select a temperature appropriate for steaming (as shown on the temperature control).
Use the steam selection button to choose the amount of steam.
It is recommended to adjust the steam in accordance to the selected temperature. E.g. if you choose temperature
●● (which is the lowest temperature suitable for steam ironing) then you must select the minimum amount of
steam. If you choose temperature MAX (which is the maximum temperature suitable for steam) then you must
select the maximum amount of steam, etc.
ADJUSTING THE AMOUNT OF STEAM
1.
The steam setting defaults to MAXIMUM each time the iron is switched on. The display will show:
In this level, your iron will produce the maximum steam.
2.
Press the steam selection button (on the right) ONCE for MEDIUM steam.
In this level you will have medium amount of steam coming from your iron.
3.
Press the steam selection button TWICE for MINIMUM steam.
In this level you will have the least amount of steam coming from your iron.
Each time the steam selection button is pressed a beep will be heard from the device.
To produce steam while ironing clothes, press the steam button on the iron. To stop steaming, simply release
the steam button on the iron.
Important: Before starting to iron or if you have not used the steam function for a while, hold the iron away
from the clothes and press the steam button for 30 seconds and then release it for 30 seconds. Repeat this
sequence twice more. This will enable any cold water condensed in the steam cord to be removed from the
steam circuit.
Always ensure when steaming that the temperature control is set between the steam area and the iron has
reached the correct temperature.
If the soleplate temperature drops too low, steam will not be released until the soleplate reaches the required
temperature.
When steam ironing woolen fabrics, shiny patches may occur. This can be prevented by turning the cloth
inside out and ironing it on its reverse side.
VERTICAL STEAM
When the iron temperature is set to steam setting, vertical steam can be used.
Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank and set the temperature control dial to the desired
position within the steam area.
When the iron has reached the correct temperature, simply hold the iron vertically, positioned in front of the
garment to be steamed with a slight distance (10-15 cm) from it, and press the steam button on the iron
whilst moving the iron downwards (from the top to the bottom of the cloth you want to iron).
ATTENTION:
Do not aim iron at face, towards yourself, or anyone else while using or adjusting steam. Burns or other serious
injuries may occur.
Never steam clothes being worn. Keep your hands away from the steam and soleplate.
