IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When you use electrical appliances some basic safety instructions should always be followed, including the
following:
1.
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2.
Remove any labels, stickers or protective foil that may be attached to the body or soleplate of the iron before
first use.
3.
Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the device.
4.
To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.
5.
ΑΤΤΕΝΤΙΟΝ: This appliance must be earthed.
6.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
7.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
8.
Keep children away from the device and make sure that they can’t grab the cords and pull the device down.
9.
Do not let cords of the device hang loose to avoid tripping on them and overturning the device causing possible
damages or personal injuries.
10.
The device must be switched off and the plug must be removed from the socket-outlet each time you need to
remove and fill the water tank with water.
11.
Always remove the water tank from the device when filling from a tap.
12.
The filling aperture must not be opened during use. Instructions for the safe refilling of the water reservoir shall
be given in the following sections.
13.
Always fill the water tank only with water.
14.
The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
15.
When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
16.
When in use the steam generator must be stable with the base in a horizontal position.
17.
Never twist the power and steam supply cords during use.
18.
Always place the iron on its iron rest on the steam generator during ironing pauses and after use.
19.
The device is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
20.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Take the product to an authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical
or mechanical adjustment.
21.
For your own safety, check cord and plug of the device regularly for possible damages. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must only be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person, to
avoid hazard.
22.
The device must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
23.
Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
24.
ATTENTION: Do not aim iron at face, towards yourself, or anyone else while using or adjusting steam. Burns
or serious injury may occur.
25.
You must be extra careful not to get burnt by hot water or iron’s steam or hot soleplate or iron rest.
26.
Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of steam.
27.
Never iron clothes being worn.
28.
Always unplug the device when not in use and allow it to cool down completely before moving and/or cleaning.
29.
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. Use your steam ironing system only for its intended use as
described in this manual.
30.
Do not allow power cord or steam cord to touch hot surfaces or hot parts of the device.
31.
Let your device cool down completely before putting away.
32.
To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, NEVER immerse cord, plug, or any part of
the device in water or any other liquid.
33.
Always switch off your appliance and disconnect it from the mains after use.
34.
Always keep the instruction manual for future reference. In case your steam ironing system is passed on to a
third person, please hand over the manual along with the device.
