NOTE
This is especially useful for getting wrinkles out of hanging clothes, curtains, wall hangings etc.
AUTO OFF FUNCTION
If the steam button is not pressed for more than 15 minutes, you will hear a single beep. The iron then enters the
‘sleep’ mode, whereby the iron and the display backlight are switched off. AUTO OFF symbol
will continue to
flash on the display. See below.
Press either the steam button (Right) or power button (Left) to switch the iron on - the display backlight will be on
again and you may then continue ironing.
DRY IRONING
If you intend to dry iron fabrics, there is no need to fill the water tank.
1.
Rotate the temperature dial clockwise until the temperature alignment mark is at the desired setting.
2.
Press the steam selection button several times until the steam off symbols
is displayed.
3.
Iron your clothes as usual.
4.
Care should be taken not to press the steam button on the iron whilst dry ironing.
SELF-CLEAN PROCEDURE
Your steam generator iron has a built-in cleaning system designed to keep the steam vents and steam chamber
clear of lint and loose mineral material.
1.
Set your device in horizontal position on a stable surface near your sink.
2.
Fill the water tank with cold tap water.
3.
Plug in and switch on the device.
4.
Set the temperature dial to the MIN setting.
5.
When the standby indicator disappears and you hear a single beep, the iron is ready to self-clean.
6.
Hold the iron above the sink in an ironing position and press the steam button for about three minutes moving
it back and forth.
7.
Lint and loose material will be ejected from the steam holes.
8.
Turn the temperature control clockwise to maximum setting (MAX).
9.
Iron a damp cloth or towel to remove any deposits from the soleplate.
10.
Turn the temperature control back to the MIN setting then turn off the device and disconnect from the mains
supply.
11.
Empty the water tank and allow the device to cool down completely prior to storage.
CLEANING AND CARE
Before cleaning, set ironing temperature to “OFF” status, switch off and disconnect the device from the mains
supply wall socket.
Allow the appliance to completely cool down, empty the water tank and replace it on the device. Then clean
the outer surface of the device with a damp cloth. Let it dry completely and then store it. Do not immerse any
part of your device into water or other liquids.
If you need to move the device, make sure that the power cord and steam cord are not in the way and they
are secure.
Regularly rinse the water tank with water, empty the water tank after clean.
If you are ironing clothes of low ironing temperatures with high temperature iron settings, this will cause
burns to your clothes and residue left on the soleplate of the iron. It is recommended that you iron an old cloth
to remove these residues from the soleplate.
If you use spray starch, wipe the soleplate occasionally with a soft damp cloth to prevent the build-up of
deposits.
After use, disconnect the unit from main socket, empty remaining water from water tank and then store the
device after it has completely cooled down - having the iron sitting on its base on the steam generator and the
