500 Abarth has the energy to deliver the work efficiently with its 1.4l 16v turbocharged 160-horsepower MultiAir
®
engine. It produces 170 lb ft of torque
while reducing pollutant emissions with MultiAir. This feature allows a 10% fuel economy improvement over conventional engines.
The Torque Transfer Control (TTC) system distributes engine torque between the front wheels during aggressive cornering to minimize understeer and maximize traction. The
standard Abarth tuned 3-mode Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

and 4-wheel Antilock Braking System (ABS) allow adaptability to changing driving conditions. Respecting
the Abarth tradition in full, the exterior is not a mere exercise in aesthetics, but strives to enhance the performance. Proof of this approach is found in the front fascia with
twin intercooler ducts and motorsports-inspired splitter, the rear-hatch spoiler and the rear diffuser, all adding downforce while minimizing drag.
