SettinG tHe dAte And time
Follow these instructions to set the date and time that will be stamped on each video clip.
Connect the Solar LED security light to your PC with a USB cable (not included). The SD card will now show as a
removable hard drive.
Open the Date & Time set up folder.
Cut and paste the time.txt file to the root directory. (Note: a root directory is the first or topmost directory
in the folder hierarchy. For example, if your computer assigns the SD card to be the E: Drive, then the root
directory is E:\)
Enter the current date and time in the time.txt file. Now the date and time will show on each video clip.
VIDEO RECORDING AND PLAYBACK
Video clips are recorded onto the SD card that is inserted in the SD slot. See Fig. 10 on the previous page.
One 1 GB SD card is provided, which can record approximately 150 video clips. When the memory card is full, it will
start overwriting the first recordings to ensure that you always have the latest videos available.

To view videos, you can connect directly to the SD card of the Solar LED security light by using a USB cable
(not supplied). Alternately, you can also remove the card and insert it into a card reader or a digital camera.
When connected, the SD card will show as a removable hard drive. You can use Windows Media Player or other
software to navigate to the \DCIM\100DSCIM folder and see your captured videos. You can copy videos to your PC,
delete them from the SD card or edit them.

Unscrew the waterproof cover on the security light.
Connect one end of a USB cable (not included) to
the USB port on the Solar LED security light and
then the other end to a USB port on your computer.
The SD card will now show on your computer as a
removable drive. See Fig. 11.

Unscrew the waterproof cover on the security light.
Push in the SD memory card and it will spring out.
Carefully remove the card from SD card socket.
Put the SD card in a card reader or digital camera.
With either device connected to your PC in the usual
way, the SD card will appear as a removable hard
drive. See Fig. 12.
