1. Designated Use
The Kampmann 300-Electro door air curtain has been built according to the latest state of
technology and recognised safety regulations. Nonetheless, the use may be hazardous to
persons or may have an adverse effect on the device or other material, if the devices are
not installed and put to operation in an expert manner or if they are employed for
undesignated use.
Tandem Door Air Curtains 300-Elektro are solely intended for use indoors above doors and
gateways (for instance in residential and commercial properties, showrooms etc.). During
installation, protect the product from moisture. If in doubt, discuss your application with
the manufacturer. Any other use or any use that goes beyond the above shall not be
deemed to be correct and proper. The operator of the equipment alone shall be liable for
any damage resulting from this. Correct and proper use is also deemed to include
compliance with the information on installation described in this manual.
Areas of use
Tandem 300-Electro door air curtains are
suitable for use only in the following areas:
Indoor areas (e. g. offices, exhibitions, department stores, etc.)
Tandem 300-Electro door air curtains are
not suitable for use in these areas:
Outdoor areas,
in areas with high humidity, such as swimming pools, wet areas,
in areas where there is a risk of explosion,
in areas with a high level of dust,
in areas with an aggressive atmosphere,
in suspended ceilings.
2. Safety Instructions
The installation of this product requires special skills in the fields of heating, cooling,
ventilation and electrical engineering. These skills are usually taught during vocational
training in the professions indicated under point 2 and are not described separately here.
Damage resulting from improper installation is the sole responsibility of the user.
Non-compliance with the regulations and the operating manual could result in the unit
malfunctioning with consequential damage and damages to people. The units can be
incorrectly wired by the wires being swapped. Danger of fatal injury!
All parts of the system must be disconnected from the mains power supply and prevented
from being reconnected before wiring and maintenance work can be started. Qualified
personnel must have undergone training to provide them with adequate knowledge of
the following:
the safety and accident prevention regulations
the guidelines and the recognised rules of technology, such as VDE directives, DIN and
EN standards.
