To cancel or change the countdown timer, briefly press the Timer button to show the remain-
ing time and press the button once again. You can now change the time using the
and
buttons. Set “0” to cancel the timer.
Sleep Timer
The sleep function enables you to set a timer after which the unit will turn itself into standby mode
automatically.
•
While in any playback mode, press the Sleep button on the unit or remote control repeatedly to
set the desired time.
•
You can select between 90, 60, 30 or 15 minutes. “zZ” will be shown in the display.
•
To check how much time is left on the set timer, press the Sleep button once.
•
To cancel the sleep function, press the Sleep button repeatedly until “OFF” appears in the dis-
play. The “zZ” symbol will disappear from the display.
Radio
1.
Switch the unit on as described previously.
2.
Select the radio mode by pressing the Source button repeatedly in case the unit is not already in
radio mode. The frequency will be shown in the display.
3.
Select a desired radio station by pressing the
or
button repeatedly.
4.
To automatically search for the next available radio station, press and hold for 2 seconds the
or
button.
Note: For a better reception completely unroll the FM wire antenna.
Manually Store Radio Stations
This unit enables you to store up to 20 radio stations:
1.
Tune to a radio station which you would like to store.
2.
Press the Prog
button. The presets will start flashing (e.g. “P 01”).
3.
Select a desired preset place from P 01 - P 20 on which you want to store the current frequency
by pressing the - Album/Preset + buttons.
4.
Press the Prog
button again to confirm your setting.
5.
Repeat steps 1 - 4 to store up to 20 frequencies.
6.
To recall a stored frequency, press the - Album/Preset + buttons until you reach the desired
preset.
Automatically Store Radio Stations
Rather than manually storing stations, you can also let the unit automatically store found stations:
1.
While in radio mode press and hold for 2 seconds the Prog button.
2.
“AUTO” will be shown in the display and the unit will consecutively store found stations (up to 20
stations).
Once finished, the unit will play the station which was first available.
3.
To recall a stored frequency, press the - Album/Preset + buttons until you reach the desired
preset.
RDS (Radio Data System)
This product is equipped with an RDS decoder. RDS allows text information to be transmitted by a ra-
dio station together with the audio broadcast. This text information can include name of the radio sta-
tion, name of the current program or song, news headlines, etc. and may vary from station to station.
When you have tuned into a radio station that is broadcasting RDS information, the RDS symbol
will be shown in the display.
