Setting the clock
Before you start operating the air conditioner, set the
clock of the remote control using the following procedure.
The clock panel on the remote control will display the time
regardless of whether the air conditioner is in use or not.
11 ECO Button:
Press this button to go into the Energy-Saving operation
mode. Press it again to cancel. This function can only be
used in COOL and HEAT modes and maintain the most
comfortable temperature for you.
NOTE: While the unit is running under Economic
operation mode, it would be canceled if shifting
the mode or fan speed.

Transmission Indicator
This transmission indicator lights when remote control
transmits signals to the indoor unit.

ON/OFF display
Displayed by pressing the ON/OFF button. Press the
ON/OFF button again to remove.
4 CANCEL Button:
(a) If the TIMER ON, TIMER ON OFF or TIMER OFF ON
feature has been set, pressing the Cancel button will
override the TIMER program and turn off the unit
as well.
(b) If only the TIMER OFF feature is set, pressing the
Cancel button will cancel the timer off setting and
turn on the unit (when the unit is off).
(c) If no TIMER feature has been set, press the Cancel
button, and nothing will happen.
5 FOLLOW ME Button(on some models):
Push this button to initiate the Follow Me feature,
the remote displays the temperature at its location.
The remote control will send this signal to the air
conditioner every 3 minutes interval until you press
the Follow Me button again. The air conditioner will
automatically cancel the Follow Me feature if it does
not receive the signal during any 7 minutes interval.
NOTE: The Follow Me feature is not available under
DRY and FAN mode. Shifting the operating mode
or turning off the unit will cancel the Follow Me
feature automatically. The remote control needs
to be within 8m reach of the indoor unit for the
Follow Me mode to work appropriately.
6 TURBO Button:
Push this button on COOL mode, the air conditioner
goes into powerful cooling operation. Push again to
cancel the TURBO function.
7 Display on/off Button:
Press this button to clear the digital display inthe air
conditioner, press it again to activate it. If you keep
pressing for 2 or more seconds, the indoor unit will
display the ambient room temperature.
8 TEMP/TIME Button:
Push the

setting or to adjust the TIMER (clock time) in a clockwise
direction. Push the

a counter-clockwise direction.
NOTE: Pressing and hold"

display between the C & F scale.
9 FAN SPEED Button:
Used to select the Fan Speed in four steps- AUTO LOW
MED or HIGH. Each time the button is pressed, the
fan speed mode is shifted. The fan speed can not be
selected under AUTO and DRY mode.
10 SWING Button:
Press this button to change the swing angle of the louver.
The swing angle of the louver changes by 6 degrees with
each press of the button. If you keep pressing the button
for 2 more seconds, the louver will swing up and down
automatically.
Initial Setting of the Clock
After the batteries are inserted in the remote control, the
clock panel will display "12:00" and begin to flash.
1 TEMP/TIME adjust button
• Press this button to set time.
Forward.
Backward.
• Each time you press the button, the time moves forward
or backward by one minute depending on which side
you press.
• The time alters as quickly as you push the button.
• Keep pressing the button without releasing, the time
moves forward or backward by 10 minutes depending on
which side you press.
When the right time is achieved, press the CLOCK/TIMER
button to confirm or release and wait for 3 seconds, the clock
time stops flashing and the clock starts operating.
Note: The time of the CLOCK must be set before the AUTO-
TIMER feature will operate. The CLOCK time can not be
adjusted after setting the AUTO-ON/OFF timer.
Press the CLOCK/TIMER button on the remote control
for about 3 seconds, the previous time displays and
starts to flash.
* Clock accuracy is within 15 seconds per day.
To set the new time, follow 1 and 2 of "Initial Setting of
the Clock".
caution
Static electricity or other factors (in case of extremely high
voltage) can cause the remote control clock to re-initialise.
If your remote control is initialised (flashing "12:00"),
readjust the clock before you start operation.
