LACIE NETWORK ASSISTANT
LaCie Network Assistant is a software utility that will help you access and manage your LaCie NAS as well as
other LaCie storage that may be connected to your network. Use LaCie Network Assistant for instant information
on the device's:
IP address
■
Version of software/firmware
■
MAC address (hardware ID number)
■
LaCie Network Assistant can also help you:
Launch the Dashboard
■
Mount one or more shares (volumes)
■
Auto-mount one or more shares
■
Update your product's firmware (see
Update Firmware
)
■
Important info on LaCie Network Assistant and the LaCie 5big NAS Pro LAN Ports: LaCie Network
Assistant works with LAN 1 only. Its features are not available if LAN 2 is the sole port connected to the
network. For example, LaCie Network Assistant supports the following LaCie 5big NAS Pro Ethernet
configurations:
LAN 1 Ethernet port only

LAN 1 and LAN 2 Ethernet ports (port aggregation)

INSTALL LACIE NETWORK ASSISTANT
If you have installed LaCie Network Assistant before purchasing this LaCie product, make sure that you are
using the latest version by visiting the

Choose one of the options below:
Install Using the included CD-ROM
Insert the Utilities CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

Double-click LaCie Network Assistant Setup.

Follow the wizard to complete the installation.

Install via the LaCie Website

LAUNCH LACIE NETWORK ASSISTANT
Windows Users:

Select LaCie Network Assistant in Start > All Programs/Programs. The application icon will appear in

the system tray and LaCie Network Assistant will automatically detect your LaCie device(s) on the network.
