ELBOWS
The chimney for the FP30 can be installed with a maximum
of four 45° elbows(in Canada) and four 30° elbows(in
U.S.A.) as shown in Fig. #12.
Installation:
1. Install the fi rst elbow; turn it in the required direction. It
is required to secure connections with three (3) #8 x ½"
(12 mm) metal screws.
2. Install the necessary chimney lengths to achieve the
required offset. Lock the chimney lengths together ac-
cording to the chimney manufacturer’s instructions. It is
required to use three (3) #8 x ½" (12 mm) metal screws
at every connection of the chimney. If the offset length is
made of two (2) chimney lengths or more, many chimney
manufacturers may require that you use an offset or roof
support halfway up the offset. If penetrating a wall, install
a wall radiation shield supplied by the chimney manu-
facturer and according to the manufacturers installation
instructions.
3. Use another elbow to turn the chimney vertically, Secure
the elbow.
4. Use a plumb bob to line up the centre of the hole. Cut a
hole for the chimney in the ceiling/fl oor. Frame the hole
as described on page 15.
5. From below, install a fi restop supplied by the chimney
manufacturer.
6. A support must be used on the fi rst 15' section (4.6m).
