Some of these materials contain chlorides which will rapidly destroy metal surfaces and void warranty.
Burning these materials may result in the release of toxic fumes or render the stove ineffective and cause excess smoke.
The prohibition against burning these materials does not prohibit the use of fire starters made from paper, cardboard,
saw dust, wax and similar substances for the purpose of starting a fire in an affected wood stove.
Do not burn anything but wood. Other fuels, eg. charcoal, can produce large amounts of carbon monoxide, a tasteless,
odorless gas that can kill. Under no circumstances should you attempt to barbecue in this stove.
WARNING: DO NOT STORE WOOD BENEATH YOUR UNIT.

Recommended Fuel / Wood Selection
This stove is designed/approved to burn natural wood only. The Maximum recommended size is 400mm x 100
mm The wood must be less than 22% moisture content
.
Higher efficiency and lower emissions generally result when burning air-dried seasoned hardwoods, as compared to
softwoods or to green or freshly cut hardwoods.
Wood should be properly air dried (seasoned) for six months or more. Wet or undried wood will cause the fire to smoul-
der and produce large amounts of smoke and creosote. Wet wood also produces very little heat and tends to go out
often.
Please note that HETAS Ltd Appliance Approval only covers the use of wood logs on this appliance. HETAS Ltd Approval
does not cover the use of other fuels either alone or mixed with the recommended fuels listed above, nor does it cover in-
structions for the use of other fuels. The stoves have a refuelling interval of 0.75h to achieve the nominal rated output. Wood
logs should be seasoned with a moisture content of around 20%.
The maximum amount of fuel specified in this manual should not be exceeded, overloading can cause excess smoke.
