ECOVERY
If you are having trouble with your computer, and the frequently asked
questions (see page 82) do not help, you can 'recover' your computer - i.e.Â
return it to an earlier state.
This section describes the recovery tools available on your computer.Â
Packard Bell providesÂ
Packard Bell Recovery Management
, which allowsÂ
you to create aÂ
recovery backup
, aÂ
drivers and applications backup
, and toÂ
start recovery options, either using Windows tools, or the recovery backup.
Note:
Packard Bell Recovery Management is only available with aÂ
pre-installed Windows operating system.
Important: We recommend that you create aÂ
Recovery Backup
andÂ
Drivers and Applications Backup
 and as soon as possible.Â
Â
In certain situations a full recovery will require a USB recoveryÂ
backup.

BACKUP
To reinstall from a USB storage drive, you must first create a recoveryÂ
backup. The recovery backup includes the entire original contents of yourÂ
computerâs hard drive, including Windows and all factory-loaded softwareÂ
and drivers. Using this backup will restore your computer to the sameÂ
state as when you purchased it, while giving you an option to retain allÂ
settings and personal data.
Note:
Make sure you have a USB drive with a capacity of at least 16 GB.Â
1. FromÂ
Start
, type 'Recovery'Â and then clickÂ
Packard Bell RecoveryÂ
Management
 in the list of apps.
