What is dead reckoning?
Dead reckoning determines your dog’s satellite position by
calculating the direction and distance your dog has traveled when
satellites are obstructed.
Do I have to have a smartphone or tablet?
Yes. A smartphone or tablet is required in order to use the quick
track app which is your interface for tracking your dogs. You must
have an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet which must have
Bluetooth smart or Bluetooth smart ready. If you plan on using a
tablet make sure the tablet has a data plan.
Do I have to have Bluetooth turned on?
Yes Bluetooth must be turned on in order for the system to work.
The receiver and the smartphone or tablet must stay within
Bluetooth range (approximately 15 feet).
Important Notes:
Prior to turning out your hounds make sure the receiver and collar
have acquired satellites. This is indicated by a blinking green light on
the receiver and collar.
Prior to turning out your hounds verify you are getting your hounds
position by viewing the dog’s icon on the map and seeing the icon
pulse and or move.
Prior to a hunt while you are on WI-FI pre-load (download) the map
area location in which you will be hunting in order to prevent map
streaming for best results.
If the receiver becomes disconnected power off the receiver and then
power on the receiver and go to settings or the devices tab and
reconnect.
