Welding
Smoothing
Before welding clear all the surfaces. In-
spect the welding details and make sure
about the quality.
Important tips:
Do not wear the surface excessively. Also
do not degrade the strength by using weld-
ing points more than recommended in the
standard. Use the soft abrasive because it
gives more quality in smoothing. Use weld-
ing points to maintain the body geometry.
Welding points in the replaced part should
be as the prior was.
Welding point’s diameter should be be-
tween 5 and 6 millimeters. Use the welding
stress materials to avoid corrosion.
If you use MIG welding, make sure about
the electrode connection. Welding should
be so that there is no need to remove the
electric parts from the vehicle.
Make sure about the dimension that is
mentioned at the first of this chapter.
Sealers and the sealing
In this part, the places where should be
sealed are listed. Sealing procedure should
be done with the following items:
1- Mastic:
It is used in the periphery of the metallic
plate connection.
2- Sprat:
It is used on the welding points and pro-
tects them from oxidation.
3- Sealer:
It is used in the coloring places and use as
a mean for sealing.
4- PVC:
It is used for the sealing the under part of
the vehicle room.
You can use Terostat-3215 for mastics and
terolan-6535 for the spot.
