Flax Seed (Highly effective, high in Omega 3 EFA)
Add the powder to any cold food, e.g. cereal, yoghurt, etc) (Adding flax to hot food will destroy the value of
the Omega 3 oil)
Using the flax Seed as a laxative
2 Tablespoons flax powder to 1 cup water or juice. Wait 30 minutes or until liquid has soaked up, and eat with
a teaspoon.
Dry Food Applications
Coffee Beans
Grind your own coffee beans on “Min” speed for 7 to 25 seconds, depending
on the required fineness, e.g. 7 to 8 seconds for very coarse and about 20
seconds for espresso.
1.
Make sure the ON/OFF switch is OFF.
2.
Plug the power cable into the power socket and switch the power on.
3.
Place the ingredients into the jug.
4.
Place the jug onto the motor base. (The Saluté will not operate without the jug in place)
5.
Set the speed control knob to the desired speed. (Min = 12000 rpm Max = 26000 rpm)
6.
Switch the ON/OFF switch to the ON position to start processing.
7.
Using the Tamper. (Never use the tamper without the rubber lid in place)
7.1. The tamper is used to aid in the processing of materials where minimal liquid has been used.
7.2. The tamper is designed not to touch the blades when the lid is in place
7.3. To use the tamper remove the lid plug and place the tamper through the hole in the rubber lid.
7.4. When using the tamper hold the handle of the jug, to stabilise the jug while pushing the materials
down onto the blades.
7.5. As soon as the materials begin to process on their own, remove the tamper and replace the lid plug.
N.B. Do not leave the tamper in the jug as this creates excessive pressure on the motor and can
cause the motor to cut out.
8.
Speed Control Options:
8.1. To increase or decrease the speed while processing, either turn the speed control knob clockwise to
increase or counter-clockwise to decrease.
8.2. There is an additional facility to increase the speed to maximum on a pulse basis by holding the
PULSE switch down. When you release the Pulse switch, the speed will revert to the speed as set
by the speed control knob.
9.
Processing Operation Options
9.1. While processing, additional materials may be added through the rubber lid hole after removing the
lid plug.
9.2. To add bulkier materials the machine should be switched off and the two-part lid removed.
10. When processing is complete, switch the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
Getting Started
The Saluté can be used to grind dry materials such as: grains to flour, dry spices, dry herbs, coffee beans,
seeds to meal, bread to breadcrumbs and nuts to nut butter.
Important information about grinding dry materials.
Dry materials contain very little liquid and are subject to rapid heating so dry grinding should never exceed 90
seconds.
For rapid grinding at high speed the Pulse switch could be used.
Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Quantity: 750 ml (3 cups)
Ingredients:
1 cup (250 ml) raw Almonds (soaked for 6 - 8
Hours)
3 cups (750 ml) cold water or ice + water

Almond Milk
Preparation Time: 1 Minute
Quantity: 375ml (1½ cups)
Ingredients:
1 Tin Chickpeas, drained (or 400 g freshly cooked
Chickpeas or 400g raw sprouted Chickpeas)
½ Cup Tahini (Sesame seed paste or ½ cup white

1 Tablespoon Olive oil
¼ Cup Lemon juice
1 Clove Garlic
Salt to taste
Method:
Place all ingredients in the Saluté container and
secure two part lid. Process on Max speed for 1
minute or until smooth, using the tamper to push the
ingredients into the blades while processing. If the mixture
does not process freely, add a little water until mixture flows
freely through the blades.
NOTE :The above quantity should not be exceeded for each processing. An excess quantity of heavy
material such as hummus will cause the Saluté to overheat and cut out.
