over-temperature Shut Down
In case of failure of the cooling fan or in the case of inadequate heat removal due to
higherambienttemperatures/insufficientairexchange,thetemperatureinsidethe
unit will increase. The temperature of a critical hot spot inside the inverter is monitored
andat203°f/95°C,theACoutputoftheinverterisshutdowntemporarily.Buzzer
alarmwillbesounded.TheGREEN"PoweroN"LED(2)willremainlighted.TheGREEN
indicationlightontheGfCIwillbeoff.
Theunitwillautomaticallyresetafterthehotspothascooleddownto158°f/70°C.
Reverse Polarity at the Dc input terminals
ThePositiveofthebatteryshouldbeconnectedtothePositiveDCinputterminalofthe
inverterandtheNegativeofthebatteryshouldbeconnectedtotheNegativeDCinput
terminaloftheinverter.Areversalofpolarity(thePositiveofthebatterywronglycon-
nectedtotheNegativeDCinputterminaloftheinverterandtheNegativeofthebat-
terywronglyconnectedtothePositiveDCinputterminaloftheinverter)willblowthe
external/internalDCsidefuses.IftheDCsidefuseisblown,theinverterwillbedead.
TheStatusLED(2)andtheGREENindicationlightontheGfCIwillbeswitchedoff and
therewillbenoACoutput.

ReversepolarityconnectionislikelytodamagetheDCinputcircuitry.The
internalfuse(s)shouldbereplacedwiththecorrectsizeoffuseshownunder
specifications.Iftheunitdoesnotworkafterreplacingthefuse(s),ithasbeen
permanentlydamagedandwillrequirerepair/replacement(Please read
Section 11 - “Troubleshooting Guide” for more details).

Damagecausedbyreversepolarityisnotcoveredbywarranty!Whenmaking
batteryconnectionsontheinputside,makesurethatthepolarityofbattery
connectionsiscorrect(ConnectthePositiveofthebatterytothePositivetermi-
naloftheunitandtheNegativeofthebatterytotheNegativeterminalofthe
unit).Iftheinputisconnectedinreversepolarity,DCfuse(s)insidetheinverter/
externalfusewillblowandmayalsocausepermanentdamagetotheinverter.
