Inthe“Schuko”receptacle(2),tworoundfemalecylindricalcontacts(2.1)areinternally
connectedtothecurrent-carryingconductorsoftheACoutputsectionoftheinverter.
The2springcontacts(2.2)ontheperipheryarefor“equipmentgrounding”connec-
tion and are internally connected to the metal chassis of the inverter. The metal chassis
oftheinverterisconnectedtothedesignatedGround.Whenthe“Schuko”plug(1)of
thepowercordoftheACdeviceispluggedintothecorresponding“Schuko”receptacle
ontheinverter(2infig.8.4or5infigs.6.1,6.2and6.3),thechassisoftheACdeviceis
automaticallyconnectedtothedesignatedGroundthroughtheequipmentgrounding
conductorthatisconnectedtothespringcontacts(2.2,fig8.4)ofthe“Schuko”recepta-
cleontheinverter(5infigs.6.1,6.2and6.3)
WARninG!
Becausethe“Schuko”plug(1)canbeinsertedineitherdirectionintothe
Schukoreceptacle(2),the“Schuko”connectionsystemisnotpolarized(i.e.Line
andNeutralcouldgetreversed).Hence,boththecurrentcarryingconductors
areisolatedfromthechassisoftheinverterandthereisNoNEUTRAL.Eachof
the2femalecontacts(2.1)ofthe“Schuko”receptaclewillbeatanelevated
voltage with respect to the chassis of the inverter as follows and should not be
touched:
- PST-15S:90VACto140VAC
- PST-30S:10VACto140VAC
Pleasenotethatthevoltagebetweenthe2femalecontacts(2.1)ofthe
“Schuko”receptacleconnectedtothe2internalcurrentcarryingconductors
oftheinverterwillbe230VAC.
