Step 8: To change the password that is authenticated during the connection to the gateway, user may
click on “Change Password” button in the “Communication” tab after step 5 successful connection
above. In the “Change Password” popup screen, type-in the old password of iosms (if the default one is
still maintained), the new password and its confirmation. This new password will be used for the next
connection authentication.
Step 9: To change the IP Address, Net-mask, and Port of the gateway, user is required to change the
values of IP Address, Net-mask, and Port text boxes in the “Communication” tab after step 5 successful
connection above, before clicking on “Change IP” button. On successful IP changing, a disconnection is
triggered. These new IP Address, Net-mask, and Port will be used to connect again and for future
connections.
Step 10: To load last reboot & current RTC time, modem status, number of sms, and points’ status of the
gateway, user may click on “Load Status” button in the “Communication” tab after step 5 successful
connection above. On successful loading, the status will be displayed in the progress box (status box).
Step 11: To disconnect, user needs to click on “Disconnect” button in the “Communication” tab after
step 5 successful connection above. Apart from it, a disconnection will take place automatically after a
successful changing of IP, or if user stops the running of this Configuration Editor application.
Step 12: User may save the groups and points configuration into a configuration file of .AGX extension
in a PC folder for later use by clicking on “File” menu and “Save” or “Save As” submenu in menu bar.
In the “Save As” dialog, user browses to a folder, gives a name to the file, and saves it.
Step 13: To load the configuration saved in a file in step 12 above, click on “File” menu and “Open”
submenu in menu bar. In the “Open” dialog, user browses to get the file and opens it. As the
configuration post retrieving from the gateway in step 7 above, the configuration can be viewed and
edited in the “Group List” and “Point List” tabs after the loading.
