9 Troubleshooting
BEFORE contacting a service agent, please check the following points:

Remedy
No power to the appliance
(No Indicator Lights)
The Power Plug may not be plugged in
to the power point and switched on.
Ensure the power plug is inserted into
the power point correctly and switched
on.
There may be no power to the power
point.
Ensure there is power to the power
point. Test with another appliance such
as a table lamp.
Heat Selector switch or switches not
set to the “I” or “II” positions
Switch the switches to either “I” or “II”
positions or both.
Adjustable room thermostat is set too
low.
Rotate the room thermostat clockwise
to the High setting.
Timer Switch may be set to “0” (Off)
Set the timer switch to “I” (On)
If using the Timer Function, timer may
have turned off as pre-set.
Program the timer to switch on
automatically again or to change the
Auto Off time.
The heater has overheated and blown
the Over-Temp thermal fuse.
Call the service department.
Timer is turning heater On
and or Off at the wrong times
Timer may not be set to current time of
Day
Rotate the timer (clockwise only) until
the current time of day lines up with the
small arrow mark. Refer section
“Timer” for instructions
Program may be set incorrect
Ensure the Pins are pushed out for the
time you want the heater ON and push
the Pins inward for the time you want
the heater Off. Refer section “Timer”
for instructions
Timer will not keep current
time of day
If power is turned off to the heater, the
timer will also stop.
When you plug the heater in and
switch on at the power point, adjust the
timer to the current time of day. Refer
section “Timer” for instructions.
Note: As with all electrical appliances,
never use the heater when unattended
or asleep. Always switch off and
unplug electrical appliances when not
in use and when leaving the house.
Power is available but not
heating (Indictor Lights are
illuminated)
Pre-heat time is too short.
Allow the heater more time to heat up.
More time is required depending on the
ambient temperature. Heat is not
instantaneous and may take 30 – 60
minutes to reach full heating.
Heater is heating and
functioning properly but room
temperature still feels “cold”

The heater may be too small for the
size of your room.
A larger and higher power heater will
be required to heat larger rooms.
The room may not be insulated or
there are drafts or open doors /
windows, etc.
Best performance and efficiency is
achieved with an insulated home,
closed windows & doors and with
drapes closed.
Room may be too big for this size
heater.
This size heater is only suitable for a
room size up to 43M
