Recommendations before installation
9.2.1
Design of the heating circuit
Theheatemittersmaybeeitherlowtemperature(underfloor
heating,etc.),ormediumtemperature(warmradiator,etc.).

We recommend that you provide sufficient flow for the
temperature difference between flow and return to
be equal to 7 C for a underfloor heating and 15 C for
radiators.
Therouteofthepipingwillbedesignedtotakeallmeasuresne-
cessarytoavoidairpocketsandfacilitatethepermanentventing
oftheinstallation.Ventsmustbeprovidedateachhighpointof
thepipes,andonalltheradiators.

Always leave a radiator open.
Werecommendinstallingadrainagevalveatthelowestpointof
theinstallation.
Inthecaseoftheuseofthermostaticvalves,itisimperativenot
tofittoallradiators,takingcaretofitthesevalvesinroomswith
highinputandneverinroomswheretheroomthermostatsare
installed.
- Ifitisanoldinstallation,itisessentialtorinsetheradiator
circuitbeforeinstallingthenewapplianceandtoaddananti-
sludgefilter.
- Ifacomponentofthesystemisnottobeinstalled
immediately,protectthevariousconnectionssoplaster
andpaintcannotcompromisethesealonthesubsequent
connection.
• Installthefollowingcomponentsontheheatingcircuitreturn:
-aheatingfilter,
-2quarter-turnshut-offvalves(1eachsideofthefilter),
-anairseparator(ifnecessary),
-ananti-sludgefilter(ifnecessary).
• Inthecaseofaunderfloorheating,installasecuritydeviceto
preventoverheating,withmanualreset(55°C)ontheheating
circuitflow.Connecttheoverheatingsecuritydevicetothe
glycolpumpoftheheatpump.
• Duetolowerflowtemperatureofaheatpumpsystemitis
essentialtoflushtheheatingcircuitswithbiocidetohelp
preventharmfulbacteriabuildingupanddamagingthe
system.
9.2.2
Design of the heat pump circuit
Installationpipeworkmustbedesignedandinstalledtoensure
ventingofairfromthesystemispossible.

Ensure that the water flow rate of the water circuit
corresponds to the nominal water flow rate of the
appliance (see ¨Technical data¨ chapter).
• Installthefollowingcomponentsontherearsectionofthe
heatpump:
-afilter,
-a¼shut–offvalveoneachsideofthefilter,
-adrainvalve,
-anairseparator(ifnecessary)
-asludgedeposit(ifnecessary).
• Installa¼turnshutoffvalveintheflowoftheheatpump.

In order to avoid the transmission of vibrations to
surrounding structures, use flexible hoses for the
hydraulic connections at least 1 metre from the heat
pump.

Insulate the pipes with a UV- and hightemperature-
resistant insulation.
