Operation
You don’t need to be a brain surgeon to perform these operations...
ON/OFF (AUDIO SIGNAL)
The D2.1 is auto-sensing, and can be configured to automatically turn ON with the
presence of an audio signal on the Digital Optical IN, Line IN or Receiver IN...if the
designated input was the last input selected when the amp was turned OFF. The D2.1
will also turn OFF automatically with the absence of an audio signal.
Example/ON: Let’s say you want to have the D2.1 automatically turn ON when you turn
the TV ON. The TV is connected to the D2.1 using a Digital Optical Audio connection. When
the TV turns ON, the Optical Audio signal from the TV will trigger the Optical IN on the D2.1
and turn the amp ON... if the Digital Optical IN was the last input selected when the amp
was turned OFF. Obviously this configuration is best used when there is only going to be
one source triggering the amp. This configuration can also be setup using the Taylor App.
See: Taylor App User Guide/Power/Audio Signal. If multiple sources are going to be used,
there is an alternate setup that can be configured using the Taylor App to set input priority
when the D2.1 is turned ON via IR. See: Taylor App User Guide/Power/Auto Detect.
Example/OFF: By default, the D2.1 will turn OFF when there has been no audio signal on
any input for 15 minutes. Alternately, the amp can be set to turn OFF when no audio signal
has been detected for the delay set using the Taylor App. (RANGE: 5-15 minutes)
Audio Signal ON Setup via IR Remote
NOTE: The D2.1 will default to Line IN out of the box, or if reset to default with Taylor App.
In default, it is not necessary to do the following setup if using Line IN to turn the D2.1 ON.
1. Turn amp and source ON. Play Source
2. Using the D2.1 IR Remote, select the input the playing source is connected to.
3. Turn source OFF or stop play.
4. Turn amp OFF.
5. Wait a few seconds and play source. D2.1 will auto ON.
6. Once setup, turn D2.1 ON/OFF by turning TV ON/OFF. (D2.1 will turn OFF after 15
minutes with no audio signal.)
ON/OFF (IR) If however you are a major control freak and just have to have the ability to turn
the amp ON/OFF, press the Power button once to turn the amp ON, and press it again to
turn the amp OFF.
