Filter Maintenance
ALWAYS turn the heater OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet before
changing the filter. Failure to do so could result in
electric shock, fire, or personal
injury.
Your Infrared Heater is equipped with an easy to clean, washable static filter. Regular cleaning and
maintenance of your filter will ensure a lifetime of trouble-free use.
1. Turn off heater and unplug power cord from wall.
2. Locate filter at rear of heater.
3. Lift filter out of filter bracket.
4. Rinse filter by spraying warm tap water through rear side of filter (opposite of air intake
direction) until filter is clear of dust and debris.
5. If filter is extremely dirty or clogged with grease, soak filter in mild solution of dish soap and
water.
6. Brush with soft brush and repeat rinsing process.
7. Shake filter to remove excess water and lay on clean cloth or paper towel to dry.
DO NOT use heater to dry wet filter! Doing so could result in electric shock, personal
injury, or electrical damage to property.
8. Replace filter in heater
ONLY after it is completely dry.
NOTICE
Never operate heater without filter in place. Without the filter in place, dust
can accumulate on the infrared heating elements causing damage. It is a
good policy to purchase an extra filter so that you can swap a previously
cleaned and dried filter whenever the filter needs cleaning. Check with
customer service for availability.
