4. PRECAUTIONS AND PREPARATIONS FOR MEASUREMENT
4.1. Do not apply voltage to the output plugs.
4.2. Do not expose this device to extreme temperatures or excessive humidity and
do not store it where it can be reached by sunlight.
4.3. Do not perform current measurements unless the device is fitted firmly on the
DMM.
4.4. Note that the readings for output voltage may become unstable and/or flawed
if the device is used in the vicinity of noise-generating equipment.
This instrument should not be used on uninsulated conductors at a
voltage in excess of 250Vrms AC or 250VDC.
5. AC CURRENT MEASUREMENT
5.1. Select the VAC-function and the 3V-range.
5.2. Connect the transducer with the DMM and consult figure 5.
5.3. Press the trigger to open the jaws and clamp a conductor. Make sure that the
jaws are firmly closed around the conductor and read the value displayed on
the LCD.
6. MAINTENANCE
Always use a damp cloth and a mild detergent
for cleaning purposes. Never apply abrasives or
solvents to the meter.
All maintenance, repairs, adjustments and
calibration should be carried out by qualified
personnel.
