Removing the Camera/Post Dive Maintenance
1. After diving, rinse & soak the Housing in fresh water while
working all of the Camera Housing buttons and dials.
2. Dry the Housing thoroughly with a clean towel. Repeat steps 1
through 4 as outlined on page 7 in the “Opening the Housing
section.
3. Dry off the sealing surface of the Back Cover with a towel.
4. Set the lock on the Zoom/Manual Focus knob in the “out”
position by turning it counterclockwise
CCW
1/4 turn (image 5).
5. Push in the Camera Tray Release Button and carefully remove
the camera. (See image 10)
Lens Port Removal & Replacement
All Watershot Housings utilize the Watershot bayonet style lens port
system for a quick and secure attachment .
Port Removal
1. Make sure no water is present in or on the Housing or Lens Port.
2. Turn the Lens Port counterclockwise
CCW
1/4 turn until the white
reference dots on the housing and port are aligned. (see image 9)
NOTE
-
If the Lens Port has not been removed for some time, it may
be frozen and difficult to turn. Use of any type of tool to turn a frozen
Lens Port will likely result in damage to the Lens Port and Housing
.
3. Gently pull the port away from the housing to remove.
DO NOT
force.
Port Replacement
1. Make sure both the O-ring and O-ring groove on the Lens Port are
clean and free of debris (i.e. Hair, sand, salt, etc).
2. Put a small amount of lubricant (supplied) evenly around the O-ring.
Replace O-ring on the Lens Port making sure that it’s seated properly
in the O-ring groove.
3. Align the white reference dots on both the Lens Port and the Housing.
4. Gently push the Port in towards the Housing until the port stops. Make
sure the Port is flush to the Housing around the entire sealing surface.
Turn the port clockwise
CW
approximately 1/4 turn until travel stops.

Lens Preparation & Gear Installation
1. Set the Focus Mode switch on the lens to
AF
for Auto Focus or
M
for Manual Focus.
2. Fit the Zoom/Focus Gear over the subject side of the lens with
the gear teeth pointing towards the camera. There should be
approximately 14mm ~ 1/2 “ between the
gear teeth and the lens mounting plane
(see image 1).
3. Be sure that the
gearing runs flat against
the lens and not angled.
4. Install the lens on the
camera according to the
camera’s manual.
Opening the Housing
*Make sure housing is dry and in a dry low humidity area.
1. Slide the Housing Water Latch Lock to it’s “DOWN” position
and hold to unlock the latch.
2. While holding the lock down, pull the Water Latch away from
the housing.
3. Unlock the Water latch’s Strike from the catch.
4. Lift the back cover away from the housing front and pull the
back cover out of the Back Cover Catch Latch
