Camera / Housing Preparation & Installation
1. Remove Eyecup from camera (image 3).
2. Mount the camera on the Camera Tray making sure the Tray
Lock Post (#13 on parts map) is nested into the bottom of the
camera. Tighten the Tri-pod screw with a coin until the camera
is snug. The Camera Tray should not move.
DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN
. (see image 4)
3. Set the lock on the Zoom/Focus knob in the
OUT
position by
turning it counterclockwise
CCW
1/4 turn. (see image 5). This
action will allow the camera to be freely inserted and removed
from the Housing.
NOTE -
The Zoom / Focus Knob Lock must
be used every time a camera is loaded and removed from the
housing.
4. Insert the camera into the Housing until a “click” is heard.
DO
NOT FORCE
(see image 6).
5. Unlock the Zoom/Manual Focus knob by turning it clockwise
CW
1/4 turn to engage the Zoom/Focus Crown Gear of the
Housing with the Zoom/Focus Gear on the lens. Check for
proper Zoom/Manual Focus operation by turning the gearing to
make sure it is properly engaged.
6.
Make sure that the Housing Body Seal is clean and free from
debris. Put a thin layer of O-ring lubricant (supplied) on the
Housing Body Seal.
To install the seal,
place it into the
Housing Body Seal Channel with a
narrow grooved side facing up!
7. Position the Back Cover Catch into the
Back Cover Catch Latch (see image 7)
then line up the guide holes (#31 on the
Parts Map) and push into place. To lock
the housing back cover in place, reverse
the order on page 7.
