new media. Check out the manual (press ‘Get Help’ on the home page) for details
on all these features and a whole lot more!

at all!
What formats can the musicm8 encode to?

I can’t see the musicm8 web interface in my browser.
First, try typing ‘musicm8.local’ instead of just ‘musicm8’.
If that doesn’t fix it, check that your network connection is working by typing

•
If you cannot see the Google search page, verify that your router is
working properly and that you have an active internet connection.
•
Check that the supplied Ethernet cable is connected correctly to your
musicm8. You should see a green light flashing by the Ethernet socket.
•

routers show a light that corresponds with each working connection.
•
Ensure your unit is connected to the mains & powered on. A blue light
should show on the front of the unit.
If your unit is correctly connected and powered on, but you do not see the
musicm8 web interface, please visit http://www.XiVA.com/musicm8 and download
the XiVA musicm8 Locator Tool, which will provide the IP address of your
musicm8 unit. It comes with instructions on how to install and run it.
Copy and paste the IP address from the musicm8 Locator Tool into the address
bar of your browser. (The IP address will look a bit like 192.168.0.20)
If you still can’t see the musicm8 web interface, please contact your retailer.
Can I automate my back up?
Your musicm8 can be configured to automatically back up everything to a compat-
