Check the label on the back panel of the Access Point and write down the MAC address of the Access
Point. You will need the MAC address to identify the Access Point on the AP controller Web interface.

Log into the AP controller Web interface, and then go to AP List page.

Look for the MAC address of the Access Point, and then check its Status column. If the Access Point
is successfully registered with the controller, the Status column will show
Online
.
Configuring for Standalone Operation
This section describes the steps you need to complete to set up the AP in standalone mode.
1.
On the AP Web interface menu, click Advanced Settings.
2.
Select AP Mode: FAT AP.
Note:
When you switch AP mode, a window will pop up notifying you a reboot of AP will
be required. Click
OK
to continue.
3.
Select Basic Setup to configure AP IP settings. You may select
DHCP Client
to obtain an IP address
from the DHCP server automatically, or select
Static IP
to enter the values manually. Click
Apply
to
save changes.
