To access Function Settings:
1. Remove all items from the platter and turn the scale
OFF. Ensure that the MC-2000 is
reasonably level, on a sturdy table away from drafts. Also check that all 4 leveling legs
are firmly resting on the table so the scale does not “teeter”.
2. With nothing on the platter, press and hold the
Enter key while turning the unit back ON.
Release the
ON key only, but continue to hold the Enter key while display shows “-InIt-”.
Once display shows “SETUP”, release the Enter key. The display shows “F1”.
3. To cycle between functions, press
ROLL. Once you have selected the function you
want, press
TOTAL. Proceed as described below for each function.
4. To return to weighing mode, turn MC-2000 off, then turn back on.
F1 - Calibration
Your MC-2000 is basically ready to use right out of the box. There is no need to calibrate the unit unless
you feel the MC-2000 has become inaccurate.
A simple method of confirming accuracy is to simply periodically hand count quarters, dimes, nickels or
bills, then confirm the scale accuracy. If you determine that the scale is light on all denominations, you
should recalibrate. If you determine count is okay on most denominations, but light on one particular
denomination, then you do not need to calibrate, simply adjust the average piece weight for that par-
ticular denomination per Function 6.
The MC-2000 allows calibration with a 200g, 500g, 1000g or 2,000g, ANSI/ASTM Class 1 calibration
weight. This weight may be obtained from your retailer or a local scale dealer found under “scales” in
your yellow pages. For A&D assistance call 1-800-726-3364, ask for WeighingTechnical Support or
