MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
NOTICE
Be careful not to damage
the radiating fins when cleaning. Do
not use any object/tool that could
damage the fins. The fins are pur-
posely thin parts to allow efficient
cooling. WHEN HOSING, USE LOW
PRESSURE ONLY. NEVER USE A
HIGH PRESSURE WASHER.
If engine is overheating even with
a clean radiator, see an authorized
Can-Am dealer.
Engine Coolant
Recommended Engine Coolant
Always use ethylene-glycol antifreeze
containing corrosion inhibitors specifi-
cally for internal combustion aluminum
engines.
Cooling system must be filled with
BRP premixed coolant (P/N 219 700
362) or with distilled water and an-
tifreeze solution (50% water, 50% an-
tifreeze).
Engine Coolant Level
Coolant reservoir is located under-
neath RH front fender.
WARNING
Check coolant level with engine
cold. Never add coolant in cooling
system when engine is hot.
NOTICE
Do not operate vehicle
with low coolant level. Overheating
could occur causing extensive en-
gine damage.

COOLANT LEVEL
With vehicle on a level surface, coolant
should be between MIN. and MAX.
level marks of coolant reservoir.
NOTE: When checking level at tem-
perature lower than 20°C (68°F), it may
be slightly lower than MIN. mark.
To gain access to coolant reservoir, re-
move front fender access cover.
Pull on upper portion of cover to re-
move tab from rubber grommets.
Pull cover downward to release lower
tabs from front fender.

Step 1: Pull front tab from grommets
Step 2: Lift cover to remove
Add coolant up to MAX. mark if re-
quired. Use a funnel to avoid spillage.
Do not overfill.
Properly reinstall and tighten filler cap.
Reinstall front fender access cover.
