Controlling the camera from your DVR or PTZ Controller:
All DVR's and PTZ controllers are different. Some DVR's do not have PTZ controls
on them. Before attempting to set up your DVR to "talk" to your camera, make
sure the DVR has PTZ controls. To configure your DVR or PTZ controller please
make sure it has the following settings:
Pelco D Protocol:
Pelco D is generally one of the protocols that PTZ controllers
and DVR's on the market today can support. It is very widely used for most PTZ
and Zoom cameras. Go ahead and set your PTZ controller or DVR to PelcoD as
this is the only protocol that this camera can support and cannot be changed.
Camera ID:
The camera ID is used to differentiate between multiple PTZ or zoom
cameras connected to your device, also allowing the device to know which one to
control. In our example we have selected Camera ID 001, if you choose to use a
different camera ID be sure to not only set it on your DVR/PTZ controller but also
on the camera itself. Make sure that your DVR/PTZ Controller and the camera
have the same exact camera ID.
