Start the machine moving forward by pulling up on the Drive Engagement Lever under the left handle

grip. After the machine is moving, press the button on the right gun control box all the way in. Paint
should begin to spray out of the gun(s).
When striping with the unit, keep moving. Start moving the unit before activating the guns. Drive through the
end of the line if possible after you have stopped spraying. This will prevent paint build up at the beginning and
the end of the line.
Always paint with the lowest possible fluid pressure that the application will allow. Increase the pressure
11.
until you get rid of the “hour glassing” - the narrowing of the line when the HP pump cycles. When the line
is sharp and clearly defined, the pressure is right. Painting at too high of a pressure results in overspray and
splattering.
General operating range for painting is between 630-870 PSI on the gauge, which is actually 1200 - 1650 PSI in
the paint system. This can vary depending on the viscosity of the paint, the number of spray guns being used,
and even the weather conditions. Less pressure will be needed when it is hot and more in cold conditions.
When using this machine as a walk-behind unit and want to keep a straight line, engage the castor lock
12.
with the Castor Lock Switch on lower left of the control panel. The machine still can be adjusted to the
left or the right by putting side pressure on the handle bars. The castor lock should not be used when a
sulky (sit-down) or chariot (stand-up) cart are being used for the operator.
Make adjustments to the paint gun height to get the desired paint width. Change to different tips if
13.
needed. See Spray Tip Selection Guide below.
Adjust the guns side-to-side to get the desired line spacing.
