pressure relief guidelines
High pressure spray can cause serious injury. Please follow these pressure relief guidelines to reduce
the risk of injury, whenever you check or service any part of the system or when you install, clean, or
change spray tips and whenever you stop spraying.
Reduce the pressure in the HP pump hydraulic system by turning the HP Pump Pressure Knob on the

pressure reducing valve counterclockwise (out).
Shut off the Hydraulic Oil Supply Valve going to the hydraulic motor section of the HP paint pump.

Open the Bleeder Line Valve to release the pressure in the paint filter.
3.
Turn the paint guns on one at a time to release the pressure in the paint lines.
4.
Make sure that you keep
your hands away from the spray tips. Be sure to catch the paint in a container so as to not contaminate
the environment.
If a paint line or spray tip is totally clogged, or if you are not sure pressure has been completely relieved,

wrap a rag around the paint line coupling or spray tip guard retaining nut and very slowly loosen the part
to release the pressure gradually. Be sure to catch the paint in a container.
cleaning of high pressure paint filter
The paint filter located next to the HP pump should be cleaned after every use and whenever colors are changed. If
clogs occur frequently, the filter needs to be cleaned or changed.

Relieve the pressure in the system by following the Pressure Relief Guidelines.

After releasing the pressure use a wrench to loosen the filter cap one turn. Then turn the cap off the rest of

the way by hand. If you cannot turn the cap off by hand, the threads may be dirty or the paint line is
still under high pressure. You need to release that pressure by using the Pressure Relief Guidelines
Once the cap is off, pull the filter screen out and clean it with a small brush in some mild solvent or warm
