alignment

be
checked using the straightedge or
string method.
WARNING
Misalignment of the wheel will re-
sult in abnormal wear, and may
result in an unsafe riding condi-
tion. Align the rear wheel using
the marks on the swingarm or
measuring the distance between
the center of the axle and swing-
arm pivot.
•
Tighten both chain adjuster locknuts
and the axle nut to the specified tor-
que.
Tightening Torque
Chain Adjuster Locknuts:
16.5 N·m (1.68 kgf·m, 12 ft·lb)
Axle Nut:
108 N·m (11.0 kgf·m, 80 ft·lb)
