CPU Internal Cache/External Cache
Cache memory is additional memory that is much faster than conventional DRAM (system
memory). When the CPU requests data, the system transfers the requested data from the main
DRAM into cache memory, for even faster access by the CPU.

Disabled Disable

CPU L2 Cache ECC Checking
Enables or Disables ECC (Error Checking and Correcting) for the CPU’s Level 2 built-in cache.
Quick Power On Self Test
Select Enabled to reduce the amount of time required to run the POST. A quick POST skips
certain steps. We recommend that you normally disable quick POST. Better to find a problem
during POST than lose data during your work.

Boot Sequence
This category determines which drive to be searched first for the disk operating system (i.e.
DOS). You can use this setting to select your First Priority Boot Up drive for Floppy drive A,
IDE Hard Disk Drive C, D, E, F, or SCSI.
The choice:
A,C,SCSI
C,A,SCSI
C,CDROM,A
CDROM,C,A
D,A,SCSI
E,A,SCSI
F,A,SCSI
SCSI,A,C
SCSI,C,A

Swap Floppy Drive
This field is effective only in system with two floppy drives. This item allows you to determine
whether to enable the swap floppy drive or not. (i.e. physical floppy disk A assigned to logical
drive B or physical drive B to logical drive A)
The choices are Enabled/Disabled.
Boot Up Floppy Seek
During POST, BIOS will determine if the floppy disk drive installed is 40 or 80 tracks. 360K
type is 40 tracks while 760K, 1.2M and 1.44M are all 80 tracks. Because very few modern PCs
have 40-track floppy drives, we recommend that you set this field to Disabled to save time.
Enabled
BIOS searches for floppy disk drive to determine if it is 40 or 80 tracks.
Disabled
BIOS will not search for the type of floppy disk drive by track number.
Boot Up NumLock Status
This allows you to determine the default state of the numeric keypad.
On
Keypad is number keys after boot up.
Off
Keypad is arrow keys after boot up.
Memory Parity Check
Select Enabled if the DRAM chips in your system support parity.
